Logan Paul takes shots at ‘washed up’ Conor McGregor as he trashes Irish WWE crowd before John Cena beatdown

Logan Paul made a thinly-veiled reference to Conor McGregor as he took shots at the Irish crowd during a recent appearance.

The influencer-turned-boxer-turned-professional wrestler is embarking on a European tour with the WWE, which made its latest stop in Dublin, Ireland, last night.

Logan Paul’s past with Conor McGregor has been well documented, with Paul and McGregor almost brawling on an awkward bus ride together.

The pair were linked with a $500 million fighter together, and Paul seems to be keeping the feud alive with the latest shot at the Irish fighter in his latest wrestling appearance.

Logan Paul fired shots at ‘washed-up’ Conor McGregor during a WWE appearance with John Cena

The ongoing rivalry between Paul and McGregor continued as Paul made a thinly-veiled reference to the former UFC Champion on WWE.

The YouTube star interrupted John Cena on SmackDown to help build up to their match at WWE Clash in Paris next week, and wasted little time in insulting the native Irish fans.

He immediately got on their backs by saying how great it was to be in England, before calling the Irish fans “drunk, washed-up failures”, an insult he had previously used towards McGregor.

He even said that the fans would “do nothin’” to him, mimicking one of the many sayings that have become synonymous with the Notorious fighter.

Paul goaded the crowd by saying: “Hey, it’s always good to be back in England! Man, all you Irish people are the same — drunk, washed-up, failures.

“Hey, I’ll tell you what. If I got out of this ring right now and spat in your faces, you would do nothing, you little leprechauns!”

The segment ended with Paul being attacked by Cena, who delighted the Irish fans by laying out Paul in anticipation of their upcoming bout.

A fight between Logan Paul and Conor McGregor was nixed by the UFC

Earlier this year, a fight between Paul and McGregor seemed like it could be on the cards, with a potential $500 million payday tempting the two personalities.

While the former UFC double champion hasn’t fought since 2021, when McGregor broke his leg in a defeat to Dustin Poirier, his crossover boxing match with Floyd Mayweather opened up a world of possibilities outside the UFC.

A clash with Paul seems the most lucrative fight he could have at the moment, following the YouTuber’s success in the boxing ring and with WWE.

However, Dana White ruled out McGregor and Paul facing off, as well as a potential fight with KSI for Notorious.

“No. Hopefully, Conor McGregor returns in the fall of this year.” White told the Pardon My Take Podcast.

McGregor also had a fight with Manny Pacquiao cancelled due to UFC commitments, and he looks likely to return to the promotion for the UFC White House event in 2026.
