Popular fitness influencer and motivational speaker Wes Watson recently made disparaging claims about professional MMA fighters. Watson’s claims garnered a hostile reception from fight fans, and now even UFC Welterweight contender Kevin Holland got involved.
Kevin Holland Leaks DMs With Wes Watson
After spending 10 years in a California jail, Watson rose to fame through social media. His social media presence had grown even when he was behind bars. In a recent YouTube live stream, the 41-year-old made offensive remarks about UFC fighters.
“UFC fighting is gay. Like all that s***, like MMA fighting and all that s*** is for people who never really were in fights. Like they never whooped ass their whole life, so they’re always like, ‘Um, I’m going to train and fight.’” Weston said.
The comments didn’t sit well with Holland, who DM’d Watson. The duo had a heated conversation, which “Trailblazer” recently shared on his Instagram. Holland challenged Watson to fight in the DMs, but the influencer didn’t dare.

Holland shared in the comments section that Watson had blocked him on Instagram. Interestingly, “Platinum” Mike Perry issued a challenge to Watson. “[Wes Watson] pull up to [Dirty Boxing] June 14th! We got vip seats for ya,” Perry wrote.
UFC CEO Dana White’s oldest son, who shares the first name with him, also had something to say. “Bro KH poppin this bald dudes head like a pimple lmao,” he wrote.

UFC 316 Opponent Responds to Kevin Holland’s Claims
Holland is set to take on Vicente Luque at UFC 316. “The Silent Assassin” was once a division’s dark horse, but has only won two of his last five fights. Moreover, two of those three losses ended in a KO/TKO.
During the UFC 316 media day, Holland claimed that Luque can’t take damage like he once used to. When Luque was asked about Holland’s claims, he replied, “Well, keep an eye open on Saturday. You guys will see. You guys will see if I’m ready or not for war. And yeah, I’m excited. I’m excited. It’s a big fight and a challenging opponent. I like it. He’s going to take out the best out of me.”
Luque has nine post-fight bonuses in the UFC’s Welterweight division. Three of those have been Fight of Night bonuses. He never suffered KO/TKO losses in his first 30 professional MMA bouts.
However, he suffered a brutal KO loss to Geoff Neal at UFC Vegas 59. Unfortunately, Luque sustained a brain injury in the fight, which made him rethink his career. He returned to defeat Rafael Dos Anjos, but suffered another KO/TKO loss to Joaquin Buckley.
