Chanell Reportedly Accused Boston Richey Of Abuse
Chanell filed a police report on March 30, per XXL. In it, she said the ‘Help Me’ lyricist put his hands on her as they left a Houston nightclub called Sekai. She’s alleging that during a heated argument in the car, things took a violent turn. Amid the squabble, Richey allegedly snatched her phone. She claims it was an effort to keep her from calling for help or recording. Afterward, he allegedly proceeded to choke her not once, not twice, but approximately 20 times over the course of two hours. Each time, she said he would allegedly apply pressure to her neck for about six to ten seconds.
It’s unclear what the couple were reportedly arguing about, but Chanell alleges Richey also placed his knee on her neck and pushed her down in the car. At the time, she was just under two months pregnant with his child. The report further mentions that she lost consciousness multiple times, stopped breathing for seconds at a time, and even threw up from the confrontation. Two other people were allegedly in the car, but it allegedly took a mutual friend stepping in after two hours to finally end the situation.
In response to the incident, Chanell has since reportedly filed charges for felony family violence, specifically “Assault Impeding Breathing.” XXL also reports that there is now a warrant out for Richey’s arrest.
Richey Denies The Document’s Allegations
On Tuesday, April 8, Richey seemingly decided to address the allegations of assault in a post shared to his Instagram Story. Referring to the claims as “BS,” Richey wrote:
“Ion put my business on the internet no more but if yk me yk and you know how I’m coming from all this sh** I let a mf think what they gone think and run wit they bs and narrative REAL P Never Going LAME my ALBUM OTW PUBLIC Housin 3.”

Video Surfaced Of A Heated Dispute Between The Pair Last Month
News of the alleged physical situation comes just weeks after video footage surfaced of the rapper snatching Chanell’s phone from her hands. In the clip, published by LiveBitez, the couple can be seen engaged in a heated exchange before Richey grabs the cell. Chanell turns her head as Richey appears to be going off, though the context of their argument remains unclear. As the argument continues, Richey’s homeboys restrain him after he tries to confront Chanell again. See the footage below.
