Pinterest has released its latest trend insights report, which highlights some of the key products that are gaining traction in the app, which could also help in your Pin planning.
Pinterest’s 2025 Fall Trends Report explores a range of user trends, based on search activity, and includes detailed notes on how each has evolved and taken shape.
And this season, vintage finds are the focus.
As explained by Pinterest:
“This autumn, Gen Z is driving a powerful shift toward thrifting and sustainable shopping, making secondhand style not only smart, but stylish […] From 2000s preppy style to Art Deco decor, the Pinterest 2025 Autumn Trend Report shows that this new wave of style is less about following the crowd and more about finding one-of-a-kind pieces that tell personal stories – while keeping planet and budget in mind.”
In line with this, Pinterest has identified five key trends for the season across fashion, home décor:
- Vintage Prep & The Polka Dot Aesthetic
- Art Deco Revival & Chic Cubicle Décor
- Nostalgic Beauty: Grunge Glam & Autumn Scents
- Whimsical Wanderlust: Fall’s Dream Destinations
- Sweet Bread & Mini Bakes
Pinterest has included an overview of each of these trends, which provides a description of how they’ve evolved in the app, and a listing of key search terms relating to each:
The specific trend notes could be a big help in your planning, by finding items that relate to your products and services.
Pinterest also provides notes on general usage trends, including the fact that Gen Z now accounts for more than 50% of Pinterest users, and male Pinterest users are also embracing the latest trend shifts.
“Searches for ‘second-hand outfits for men’ have increased by 31%.”
These are two demographic subsets who have not always been associated with Pinterest, and it’s worth noting that as Pinterest’s usage continues to rise, a broader scope of people are also coming to the app with shopping intent.
Finally, given the rising interest in second-hand items, Pinterest has also announced the launch of a new Thrift Shop activation, which will provide a dedicated space for vintage shoppers in the app.
“The Thrift Shop invites users to browse and shop vintage and second-hand finds directly on Pinterest. By partnering with top vintage and thrift retailers from around the globe, while tapping industry tastemakers for weekly closet drops on the platform, the Thrift Shop lets Pinterest users discover unique styles and shop pre-owned goods.”
Pinterest’s Thrift Shop will be open between August 20th to September 26th.
