Pinterest has added a new way to showcase your Pinterest marketing skills, with a new type of badge that you can earn via its Pinterest Academy education platform.
Now, you can earn and share your “Performance Essentials” achievement, which is awarded to those who complete the latest Pin Academy course.
As explained by Pinterest:
“Starting today, you can be one of the first to earn the Pinterest Performance Essentials skills badge on Pinterest Academy, our free learning platform. To earn this badge, complete a series of ten performance-focused courses where you’ll learn how to maximize your lower-funnel campaign results, increase conversions and achieve success on Pinterest. By the end, you’ll have everything you need to make your ads stand out, reach more people and spend your budget more efficiently.”
It’s the latest addition to Pinterest’s education platform, which it gave a major refresh back in 2023.
Pinterest Academy now provides a range of courses to help improve your platform knowledge, and maximize your Pin ads results.
There’s also opportunity to gain one of three accreditation badges (“Advertising Essentials”, “Media Buyer Certification,” and now “Performance Essentials”), which you can then use to highlight your Pinterest ads knowledge.
And they’re not too hard to get. Pinterest’s courses involve step-by-step explanations, then multiple-choice quizzes, in order to prove your understanding.
What’s more, if you’ve already done the Pinterest Advertising Essentials course, you’ll be able to fast-track your way through this updated offering.
It could be another way to both learn the platform, and demonstrate that knowledge, and another badge to add to your LinkedIn profile.
Pinterest says that its new “Performance Essentials” skills badge is available now to anyone using Pinterest Academy in English, with more languages coming soon.
